All Louenhide bags and accessories are created using high quality polyurethane textiles, also generally referred to by the term, Vegan Leather. Polyurethane is a synthetic polymer and often defined as vegan leather for the simple reason that it is derived from a non-animal source.
Our collections are designed using synthetic polymer fabrics for the external surface, in a range of embossed textures. Louenhide is proud to release our first Recycled Range in 2022, which is constructed from GRS Certified Recycled PU and Polyester. We are on a continuous journey to find improved and innovative fabrics and processes that provide more sustainable choices for our customers.

97% of our bag range is made using REACH compliant polyurethane vegan leather. REACH certification ensures safe use and prohibition of toxic chemicals.
Recycled PU Range
Louenhide’s Recycled Range has been made from GRS Certified Recycled materials, which are sourced from both pre and post consumer waste inputs (manufacturing waste, recycled plastic).
- Main Body Fabric: 40% Recycled Polyester, 18% Recycled Polyurethane (GRS Certified), 37% Polyurethane, 5% Calcium Carbonate (chalk)
- Lining Fabric: 100% GRS Certified Recycled Polyester
- Webbing Straps: 100% Certified Recycled Polyester
