Come with us to discover all the behind the scences action from our latest photoshoot, Empire Rose.
We love the chance to get out of the office and explore the gorgeous cities and landscapes around us. It’s especially rewarding to see our vision come to life and capturing the fun, the fabulous and sometimes heartwarming moments through the camera lense.
Our Empire Rose Collection was set amongst the iconic buildings and bustling side walks of the glorious Darling Downs city, Toowoomba. It’s well known for the Cobb&Co Museum and The Carnival of Flowers, plus the charismatic Queenslander homes and leaf lined avenues.
We love imaging the places you’ll go, the people you’ll meet and the things you’ll see, tote-ing around a Louenhide Bag. Whether you’re on your way to work, off to dinner or strolling through the shops, we love to think there’s a Louenhide with you every step of the way! So join us to discover what makes Toowoomba so special!
Usher in a new era with modern silhouettes, animal print textures and floral hues to put the joy back into dressing up.
Here’s to relaxed weekends and exploring different places, from the countryside to the city streets.
Behind the Scenes
We love having a little bit of fun while on set! Whether it’s a sneaky photobomb, Heidi’s dance studio moves or a little bit of play acting, we’re pretty sure passing strangers think we’re dorks (fun though!). Bec, our in-house Videographer and Instagram Reels aficionado loves to create funny clips – completely stitching us up with completely unchoreographed dances. Check it out on Instagram, if you’re up for a laugh!
These girls! The funniest and most tenacious girl bosses out. 16 years this year and still having a blast. From looking glam in front of the camera, to unpacking a shipping container in 35 degree heat or swimming through swatch cards for the upcoming collection, there's not much these amazing women can't do, when they put their minds to it.
Empire Theatre
Quite possibly the most iconic location in Toowoomba, The Empire Theatre is 1920's styling at it's finest. We love the intricately detailed facade, with it's patterned glass, tiles and rich timber doorways. The cream and black street front tied in so well with our Caprice and Zara crossbody bags, it was meant to be! In typical Louenhide fashion, there was a big event on at the Empire, so we had to quickly sneak across the crosswalk while some nice policemen were on traffic control. Stressful! (But make it look relaxed!)
The best part about the Empire? Being so close to Brisbane, there are some amazing shows, with half the crowd. It's such a lovely experience, perfect for a date night or girls night, where you can dress up and enjoy the rich interiors for a relaxed and glamourous evening. Top off your night with a delicious 3 course dinner or aperitivo at Encores next door; old fashioned service with a modern menu. Perfect!
Toowoomba Train Station
You can just feel the history here! Walking though the archways onto the platform, was a little like travelling through a time warp, in the absolute best way. It somehow felt like we'd forgotten our hat and gloves though. This stately building now only sees freight trains across its tracks; however, the charm still remains.
Heritage dark terracotta walls and bottle green french doors are the hallmark of this beauty and these hues worked so well with our autumn colour palette. It's the little details in places like this, that we love the most: the old style signage, wrought iron bench seats and antique equipment. The train station is right in the heart of the Toowoomba CBD and flanked by great coffee shops and an antique centre, so there's plenty to experience and explore. It's well worth the wander.
Other Cool Places
From the Mills Precinct to the Toowoomba Courthouse and everywhere inbetween, we were on the hunt for gorgeous backdrops and great details. Sandstone walls for a luxe look, or rusty corrugated iron that’s a little more rugged. We chase sunrises and sunsets for that gorgeous glowing look and to keep out of the heat during the day.
